Has the pursuit of life transformations ever left you feeling stuck in a cycle of self-punishment and short-lived gains?
If so, you're not alone.
Many people start their journey toward a healthier lifestyle, be it shedding pounds, building muscles, or even transforming their business or relationships, with a sense of desperation and self-loathing. Ironically, these very emotions that propel us to seek change often become roadblocks that thwart our personal development.
But what if I told you the first step to achieving a lasting, sustainable change isn't rooted in dissatisfaction but in self-love and acceptance?
Before you click away thinking this is another 'feel-good' spiel, hear me out...
Here are 4 transformative steps that have not just worked for me but have helped countless others achieve their own lasting transformations. And remember, these principles don't just apply to body positivity; they're the backbone of any meaningful change you seek in life.
So, if you're tired of diet fads, 'miracle' exercise routines, and unsustainable life hacks, and ready for a holistic and sustainable path to transformation, keep reading.
This might actually seem backward at first. You might be thinking, “I don’t like my body, that’s what’s motivating me to change - workout, diet, etc.
But, here’s the reality - you’ll never actually become a person who CONSISTENTLY works out, eats healthy, and takes care of your body…
…because you don’t care for things you hate.
Beating yourself up in the gym, depriving yourself of your favorite foods, and jumping on the latest weight loss fad is NOT taking care of yourself, your body. It’s punishing it. And, you.
The energy behind that is awful.
If you’re familiar with 2 States of Being, you know that when you’re in a suffering/primal state, you actually trigger the sympathetic nervous system and when that’s switched on you, physiologically, can’t create lasting body transformations.
You’ll never find lasting motivation trying to hate your body into shape. And, physiologically, you’re going to create a lot of negative side effects - messed-up hormones, lowered metabolism, gut health issues, and more.
By the way, as I said earlier, this principle/step applies to anything:
The only way to create lasting transformation is to start from a place of love. Love the body you have. Be grateful for what it does for you now. And, from that position, make changes. BE the person who has a healthy and fit body they love.

Oh, if I had a dollar for every person who hired my team and me to help them only to bail early because things weren’t happening “fast enough.”
I’ve seen this in fitness for the last 26 years.
I’ve seen it with business coaching clients for the last 10.
How many times have you quit because results weren’t happening fast enough or big enough?
It takes time!
And, it’s usually not the same for everyone.
I’ve seen hundreds of people lose 20 pounds in 6 weeks.
I’ve seen WAY TOO MANY give up at 6 weeks because they didn’t…
Oh, but if they only kept going for a few more weeks…like those who did trust the process.
And, hell, what if it took 6 months?
So what?
Isn’t the goal (in this case) to lose 20 pounds?
Trust the process (a proven one) and the results will come. More on that with Step 4.
By the way, my fellow business owners know this all too well. It’s “shiny object syndrome.”
Instead of sticking with the proven methods (often basic and not sexy) they quickly get bored and/or frustrated with slow progress so they get lured into the latest fad…
How many times has perfection stopped you from achieving the body transformation (or any transformation) you want?
I see this with people all the time when their schedule changes and they can no longer make it to The Club the 4x/week they were accustomed to. Instead of switching to 2x/week and maybe a home workout for a while, they just quit. If it’s not perfect they won’t do it.
I also see this constantly with people who want to join one of our programs at The Transformation Club.
Because they have a week's vacation or a couple of business trips within that specific time span they don’t sign up. They’re waiting for their schedule to match up perfectly with ours.
Guess what?
It’s probably not going to happen.
Something is always going to come up.
Besides, a big part of achieving and MAINTAINING a successful body transformation is navigating the imperfections…because there are going to be a lot of them.
Also, another lesson here is that weight loss and body transformation are NOT linear. It usually happens more like this (a real client example of someone losing over 20 pounds):
I wrote that a few different ways so you could go with the version that’s most aligned with your beliefs.
Any way you slice it, you’ve got to have some freakin’ patience!
This is a two-part deal.
You do your part.
Then, you have to wait for your partner - God/Life/Universe - to do theirs.
I won’t go deep on this one.
There’s some Law of Attraction at play here, not to mention the quantum nature of reality…
But, the key takeaway is you gotta relax and ALLOW for the body transformation to happen.
Again, the same goes for anything else in your life that you want to transform.
So, there you have it - 4 Lessons/Steps I discovered to create the transformations I want.
They’ve served me and continue to serve me (when I remember them ;-b) well.
I trust they’ll do the same for you. :-)
